When Was it Invented?
Block Printing first appeared in the Tang Dynasty (618-907). The text was first written on a piece of thin paper, then glued face down onto a wooden plate. Movable character blocks were invented by Bi Sheng in 1045. This was a method for arranging and printing pages in mass quantities.
