Background History on Chinese Printing
This is a 15 minute film about the beginnings of the wonderful art of printing in the Chinese culture. The first printing block was started in 868. It was found in a cave just recently during the 1900s. We are pleased to say that we found that and now we are able to learn more about this amazing activity. It was thought that the Chinese were depressed around 630 to 930 which was also the time that they invented the printing blocks, so the invention of the Printing Press was something that lifted their spirits. It was also simple to do. Actually printing was one of the top four best Chinese inventions.
